Every member of the FISSTC is expected to contribute to the groups aims. To achieve this members take an active role in a research group as well as a working group running a STEM activity.

  1. Conference planning group - ‘FISSTC Science Snack for Summer, 2025’ & ‘Research at FIS and Beyond, 2025’

  6. FISSTC, Wilderness International & Climate Sustainability Club - organising a lunchtime activity on "Protecting Our Planet Day 24 (POP24)" day.

Possible ideas/past events

  1. STEM Slam at FIS, each student that enters has 5 mins to wow the audience with a fascinating topic.
  2. Collaboration with CWI to set a STEM challenge. Teams would require one member of each group as a minimum entry requirement.
  3. Plan and run two STEM based team building challenges as part of the grade 6-8 intramural competitions.
  4. Collaboration with Kalahari - create teaching resources/aids
