Every member of the FISSTC is expected to contribute to the groups aims. To achieve this members take an active role in a research group as well as a working group running a STEM activity.

  1. Conference planning group - ‘FISSTC Science Snack for Summer, 2025’
  2. Conference planning group - ‘Research at FIS and Beyond, 2025’
  3. Einstein's Birthday Pi Day on March 14th with Pi day activities and possibly a guest speaker for a lunchtime activity.
  4. STEM Slam at FIS, each student that enters has 5 mins to wow the audience with a fascinating topic.
  5. Collaboration with Girl Up for a ‘Women in STEM’ lunchtime activity, or a set of short lunchtime activities.
  6. Collaboration with CWI to set a STEM challenge. Teams would require one member of each group as a minimum entry requirement.
  7. Plan and run a lunchtime online session for Mars Day in the auditorium.
  8. Plan and run two STEM based team building challenges as part of the grade 6-8 intramural competitions.
